Quantum Technologies has recently developed a Continuous High Temperature Reactor (bottom picture) that is able to withstand temperatures in excess of 2,000°F. The design overcomes the problems of using ordinary mechanical seals and bearings under extremely hot temperatures. The reactor is able to handle the hazards of molten salt among other reactants.
